
Ricardo Rodríguez
Director attorney of the firm and in charge of the department of Intellectual Property of CENTRAL LAW in Costa Rica. He holds a law degree and a specialty in notary law from the Universidad Escuela Libre de Derecho and a LL.M in IP & IT from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain.
His practice is focused in Intellectual Property, New Technologies, Corporate Law, Unfair Competition and Consumer Protection, advising clients in their trademark portfolio, strategic management of IP assets and compliance with regard to IT and e-commerce matters.
He is an author of articles for the Central American Magazine “The Lawyer”, regarding New Technologies.
Active member of the Costa Rican Bar Association, the sub-commission of IP matters in AmCham, member of AMPI-UAM University of Madrid, INTA Young Practitioners Sub-Committee (2018-2020) and Costa Rican Association for Intellectual Property Practitioners.
Ricardo Rodriguez has been distinguished by the Latin American Corporate Coounsel guide LACCA APPROVED editions 2019 and 2020, considered as one of the leading lawyers in the areas of IP.
Ricardo is President of the Board of Directors of the Association of Intellectual Property Professionals of Costa Rica (APPICR) (2022 – 2024).
