
María Eugenia Ferreyra
Associate Attorney and Director of the Arbitration and ADR Department at Central Law in Guatemala. Ms. Ferreyra is a lawyer who graduated from the National University of Córdoba, Argentina, a specialist in Procedural Law – National University of Córdoba, Argentina, and a PhD candidate in Law and Social Sciences – National University of Córdoba, Argentina.
Her experience spans more than ten years of professional practice in Córdoba Argentina, advising real estate business companies, trusts, and construction companies of Engineering and Architecture. Before joining CENTRAL LAW, she worked as an Associate in the Dispute Resolution, Litigation, and Arbitration area of ECIJA GUATEMALA.
In the academic field, María Eugenia Ferreyra has participated as a professor in the subjects of alternative Conflict Resolution, International Economic Law, and Private International Law, at Rafael Landívar University, central campus of Guatemala; for more than ten years as an adjunct professor of Chair A of Private International Law at the Faculty of Law of the National University of Córdoba, Argentina; More than ten years as a coach of the commercial arbitration team of the University of Cordoba.
Among her most recent works in Arbitration are being an international arbitrator appointed by the Arbitration Center of Mexico (CAM), in a multi-pair and multi-contract dispute for MXN 15,297,202.55. CAM File 0165/2022; arbitrator of the Blockchain and Technology Dispute Resolution Institution (IBT); She is a referee of the quarterfinals in the MOOT Mexico of CAM Mexico, Campus Guatemala. The MOOT is a competition that provides the opportunity to practice a real case of arbitration and be in touch with other arbitrators which is essential for the preparation of any arbitration practitioner
She is a Spanish native and fluent in English.
