José Guillermo Handal
Junior Associate at CENTRAL LAW in Honduras, based in the San Pedro Sula office, and current Director of Technology and Innovation, leading initiatives related to Blockchain, Digital Assets, Foreign Investment, Fintech, Cybersecurity, and Data Protection.
He has a strong academic background, holding a Law Degree with a specialization in International Commercial Law from the Central American Technological University (UNITEC), as well as complementary studies at the Tegucigalpa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIT) and the Cortés Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIC).
He has extensive experience in Corporate Law, particularly in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), public procurement processes, due diligence, Immigration Law, registration of insurance and reinsurance companies, and compliance with banking regulations. He is a certified arbitrator and secretary accredited by the CCIT and currently serves as secretary at the CCIC. During his university years, he was elected Vice President of the Law Student Association within the Faculty of Social Sciences at UNITEC.
He is a professional deeply committed to ongoing education, actively participating in courses and seminars on topics relevant to his legal practice. Passionate about digital transformation and process innovation through the latest technological advancements, José is an active speaker at conferences on these and related subjects.
