The El Amatillo Integrated Border Post (BIP) will extend from El Salvador to Honduras and Guatemala, concentrating customs services in a single site to streamline processes, promoting the commercial integration of these countries. “We celebrate the benefits that this customs union brings to the entire region and we see closely how each of the countries is committed to different rights and obligations that are part of the environment where our customers who trade products between the two countries operate” said Jorge Romero, CENTRAL LAW associate in Honduras. For her part, our partner Claribel Medina De León commented that “this is a great step that will not only benefit trade between El Salvador and Honduras, but also towards Mexico and Guatemala”.
