Álvaro Quesada
Álvaro Quesada is an associate attorney at CENTRAL LAW in Costa Rica. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in EU Competition Law , King’s College, London- 2018; Postgraduate Tax Law Specialist, Universidad Autónoma Monterrey, San José, Costa Rica -2009; Master’s in Business Law, University of Navarra, Spain- 2004; JD Universidad Escuela Libre de Derecho, San José, Costa Rica.-2003.
Working experience includes working in recognized law firms in Costa Rica, Brazil and Spain such ÉCIJA, GARRIGUES, AGUILAR CASTILLO LOVE, FACIO & CAÑAS, SOUZA CESCON.
Former Partner in charge of the regional Competition Law Practice. ÉCIJA Costa Rica; Associate General Counsel in charge of corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, stock and corporate governance matters, tax and labor litigation and drafting financial and information technology contracts, among others. FIFCO; Experience in mergers and acquisitions in South America. Participation in acquisition processes, including due diligence processes; Experience in mergers and acquisitions in Central America. Acquisition processes, including due diligence, negotiation, drafting and review of contracts; Advice on business establishment and commercial, real estate, employment and tax matters, local and regionally. -In charge of legal (external) department at Habitat for Humanity International, Inc. (HFHI) in Latin America and the Caribbean since 2006.
Since 2019 is a Member of the Board of Directors at Asociación Sueña en Colores and has worked for Habitat for Humanity International Inc in Latin America and the Caribbean.
