Korea-Americas Energy Cooperation Seminar

Juan Pablo Carrasco, Partner Head of Foreign Investment at CENTRAL LAW and current AmCham President and AACCLA´s Vicepresident, has travelled to South Korea to participate as a speaker in the conference Korea-Americas Energy Cooperation Seminar hold today in Seoul.

Carrasco has spoken about the current status of electric power sector in Central America followed by the Energy Minister of Mexico and other prominent speakers from Brazil, Chile and United States.

In his presentation, the current AmCham Guatemala Chair has explained the SIEPAC Project and its transmission lines in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama which have increased the energy transactions in the region; the Mesoamerica Energy Project which includes Mexico, Colombia, Belice, Dominican Republic in projects of electric interconnection energy efficiency , renewables, and climate change; and also about the investment opportinities in hydro, geotermal, wind, solar and biomass

The event has been attended by officers, business men and professionals of the energy sector of Korea.
