Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce of Nicaragua (AmCham), headed by its President, Ing. Roberto Sanson Caldera, met this morning with the Presidential Delegate for Investment Promotion, Export and Foreign Trade Facilitation, General ® Alvaro Baltodano, where the defined tasks for the first semester with the Chamber were discussed, in pursuit of promotion of investment to generate more jobs were addressed.
"Pro Nicaragua is a special partner for AmCham; we do not only publish annually (along with the Ministry of Trade), the Investor's Guide, as we present recently- but also coordinate matters of mutual interest as our goals are similar. Because of that, we share what we have been developing in the first weeks of 2016 and what we have planned in the first half, as related to the tenth anniversary of the DR-CAFTA and the importance of coordination to face new challenges ahead, as well as the enormous potential that can still be achieved; ten years after the DR-CAFTA, the results for Nicaragua are very good, but we have new challenges and new opportunities; also we boarded on what Nicaragua's candidacy for the Business Future of the Americas, which President Ortega has expressed his support toward us, as well as the work we do through our committees; also address the issue concerning the visit of the new President of the Association of Chambers of Commerce in Latin America and the Caribbean (AACCLA) Thomas Kenna for this year, "said Sanson Caldera, who was accompanied by director Bosco Noguera Mayorga, Jeannette Duque-Estrada Gurdian, Mario Arana; the Chairman of the Committee for Investment and Trade, Alvaro Molina Vaca and Former Presidents Yali Molina Palacios and Diego Vargas Montealegre.
